In this interesting essay, its author, Carlos Alzugaray, shows the inner World of a process that, in 1958, was part of the intrigues of north American diplomacy in our country, in order to prevent the triumph of the Revolution and guarantee the succession of dictator Fulgencio Batista with a new government which had similar interests. As shown in the text, none of the political, economic, military, diplomatic and security means used by the United States’ government, could stop the triumph of the revolutionary movement, and only in December of 1958 they realized how illusory was the manoeuvre that they tried to put in practise.
