It is the first Cuban book that approaches this topic with a comprehensive analysis until the 1980s. It is characterized by the presentation of historical events without avoiding the contextual political analysis and the ideological projection of these events.
Each one of Francoism’s stages develops with evident thoroughness, offering their living description and their rigorous analysis which have a truly astonishing documental abundance. The discursive coherence is seated on an analytic thought that pursues the deep penetration, the width of the offered panorama and the integrity of analysis.
Although it is not explained as such, we appreciate the author's proposition of an interesting periodization of the analyzed historical stage. The chronology of the main events that occurred from 1931 to 1983, the charts that come with the text and the outline about the structure of the political Francoist system are very interesting. At the same time the book is has an exhaustive and updated bibliography on each one of the examined aspects.
The topic is analyzed with scientific solidness and livingly committed with the Spanish Republic and the Civil War. It is written in a didactic form that allows the understanding, not only for specialists or those familiarized with the topic, but for the general Cuban reader interested in knowing those events in detail.
