Summary: The researches in this sphere have already allowed developing and applying in the production, in a generalized way, microjet and drop irrigationg technologies in banana, citric, hydroponics and with increments in productivity per man in coffee nurseries, with increasing yields. With the purpose of introducing and developing these technologies in the country, there were defined and designed 40 elements among connections, joints, types of pipes, etc; as well as microsprinklers (microjet), droppers, auto-compensable and their prototypes of irrigation heads. It was designed and built the first electrohydraulic valve for the automated irrigation operation and the first type of programmer for the automation of located irrigation. The introduction of these technologies in our agriculture constitutes a technological revolution for the big possibilities that it offers to save water, energy, nutrients and human resources, and for the high yields that can be obtained with it, when small quantities of water are frequently applied.
