Summary: In order to guarantee viandas (root vegetables) and vegetables supply to the population along the whole year, it was created a system based on the main principles of agricultural planning, which harmonizes: cultivation cycles, sowing periods, crop seasons and possibilities of producing seed for different species and varieties, so that several products are available in the market any time of the year, crop peaks do not occur and human, material and financial resources are rationally used. The program integrates new storing mechanisms, the participation of masses, companies, schools, CPA, MINFAR, etc, in vianda and vegetable production. All the achievements reached by science and technique in these lines, and the necessary per capita, are taken into account. It includes the sowing and sale in the retail net of products, as well as the delivery, industry and export of products to other minicipalities. The program is applied in 619 caballerias of Sto Domingo municipality, in 117 caballerias of Niquero municipality (Gramma) and in the 12 remaining municipalities of Villa Clara province (14 municipalities of the country). The result allows: elevating the level of food offered to the population, diversifying vianda and vegetable consumption, organizing the production; having a computarized program.
