1989 | Production   and   aplication   of the Transference Factor

Summary: It was produced, from leukocytes that had formed Interferon Alpha induced by Sendai virus, a dialyzable extract with Transference Factor activity. The product was prepared from the extract in enough quantity, for the development of applications in the country and for exportation. The preparation of the Transference Factor has been characterized as regards physicochemical and biological properties. In particular, there were identified on it biological properties of interest, as the bone marrow’s stimulation depressed by cytostatics, and the increment of survival in bare mice with transplanted heterologous tumors. In addition, clinical research has been carried out with this product, with satisfactory results in immunodefficiencies (mainly in children) breathing infections with repetition in children, herpetic keratitis, herpes zoster, herpes genitalis and verruca acuminata. There have been successfully treated patients with bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, serious sepsis, keratomycosis, tonsillitis with surgical criterion in children and ataxia telangiectasia.
