Summary: It is carried out a study of 127 patients of congenital pes cavus, and 123 of them were younger than 10 years old; the youngest were 5 years old. 116 of these cases were bilateral and/or of only one side, for a total of 242 feet. All of them were operated through a surgical technique that consists on a section of plantar fascia and a section of plantar short flexor muscle by attrition with a clamp. The patients were subjected to load weight and walk after 24 h of the operation; it was administered hydrocortisone to the patients at a rate of 10 mg/kg of weight in dicreasing doses in the trans and postoperative period. The results were positive in most of the cases.
