This work constitutes a group of results with great scientific novelty and impact in biotechnology. It is endorsed by 8 publications in magazines such as: "Nucleocides and Nucleotides", "Molecular and Chemical Neurophatology", "Arch Med Res".
Part from these results were awarded as achievements of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNIC) in 1994 and 1997 and they constitute a part from a doctoral thesis in 1995, considered the most outstanding in Chemical Sciences in that year.
The following results were the most showy:
- To develop a control system for the non-radioactive detection of DNA using modified nucleosides and nucleotides,
- The synthesis of new analogous of pyrimidinic nucleotides and nucleosides, incorporating to these a common hapten to guarantee the multiple DNA marking,
- To obtain a hybridoma producer of Ac monoclonal which recognizes the hapten and which doesn't have crossed reaction with the nitrogen bases,
- To develop systems to detect the hapten presence in DNA molecules of simple and double chain,
- To develop marking methods of chromosomal and plasmid DNA, live and in vitro.
