It stands out for its knowledge contribution, as well as its relevance in the field of new materials and their technologies.
The so-called semiconductors II-VI (formed by elements of groups II and VI of the periodic table, such as Zn, Cd, Hg, You, You, S) are object of intense study in the international sphere for their perspectives in the development of new optoelectronic devices. These studies demand a high sophistication degree of technologies and experiments.
Starting from the development of chemical bath technology for these materials and its study with optic and electroptic techniques, it was clarified and explained, for the first time, variations dependence in the parameters that characterize them and thermal treatments. This was reported in the prestigious magazine J. of the Electrochemical Society.
There was carried out a work to find growth conditions of optimal thermal treatments and layers that allowed obtaining cadmium sulphide layers, semiconductor of great application and importance, with low resistivity values. This is published in Appl. Phys. Lett., one of the most prestigious magazines in Physics. These researches led to obtain the lowest values in reported resistivity, which was published in the publication "Materials Letters", also very prestigious.
There were obtained pellicles of other important compound semiconductors II-VI as new structures based on them, called quantum wells; being developed a theoretical treatment that is able to model the well's shape. Some of the obtained layers presented an appreciable photovoltaic effect, which is promissory in future applications as solar cells. These works are published in Mexican Magazine of Physics, Physica Script and J. of Crystal Growth.
There were innovations with the development of a new lost-cost technique, a very difficult matter in the field of semiconductors technologies, based on a short-distance sublimation system. There were obtained good quality Layers to relatively low temperatures. This is endorsed by the publications in Surfaces and Vaco, in Materials Chemistry and Physics magazines.
In short, the contributions to scientific knowledge are endorsed by 8 publications in arbitrated and indexed magazines and 4 presentations in international scientific events with two more publications in memoirs.
Certainly, this contribution published in international scientific literature in this field, provides prestige and endorses the scientific level and development that our Science has reached.
