The Method to Dose Concrete Mixtures, by Prof. O'Reilly, is an outstanding contribution to the development of Technical Sciences, applied in particular to reinforced concrete, material that keeps its validity among the main resources for the development of world construction.
It is the result of 15 years of research, in which there have been used an extraordinary number of test tubes, complex mathematical elaborations and revision of the most recognized dosage methods in the world. Valuable scientific contributions are introduced to the theory and practice of mixtures, with the experimental confirmation of the influence of geometric variable forms of dry goods particles on rheology and maximum concrete compactness, main properties to achieve a good cement economy and construction durability, in particular, facing the aggressive marine environment, characteristic of our country.
The Dose Method developed by Prof. Or Reilly has been broadly disclosed in articles published in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Bolivia; and more recently, the Spanish Concrete Group (GeHO) has included it among the advisable Methods for the design of leading-edge concretes known for their high resistance and benefits. This Method has received, for its suitable use and generalization possibilities, the recognition of noted authorities of Science and Technology of Concrete in the World.
