This topic is formed by 12 research works.
A group of authors from four national institutions have interdisciplinaryly addressed the different aspects related to genetic basis amplification of the sugarcane Cuban collection, a topic with a great priority for the national economy.
This result´s comprehensive feature is relevant. It includes the existing collection agricultural producivity characterization, identification of molecular diversity and of the progenitors to be used in nobilization , recommendation for the use of germplasm and the contribution with methodologies in monitoring hybridation; quite scientificaly novel methods were used in all these studies.
All works included in the result are displayed in a clear and concise style, denoting a devoted elaboration. They are supported by aknowledgements from different national institutions. Among them it could be highlighted the Relevant Result in 12th Science and Technology Forum in Florida Municipality in 2000; the Most Remarkable Scientific Result of the Biology Faculty fromHavana University(UH), the Most Remarkable Scientific Result of the Theoretical Mathematics and Physics Center Statistics Group, and the Minister Award given to the Most Remarkable Scientific Results in the Ministry of Sugarcane Industry (MINAZ), obatined in 1999.
This work contains novel information at international level , about the cytoplasmic molecular diversity of sugarcane related species . It also includes design, elaboration and validation of a germplasm identification system, using molecular markers with novel characteristics in these species. This contributions have benn disseminated by prestigious publishing institutions in the issue.
Its comprehensive way, scientific contributions, elaboration quality and validation, conffered by aknoeledgements received, support its merits.
