In this work, there were determined the problems, probable causes and effects on environment, being determined the environmental impact by tourist works, and there were suggested solutions to avoid environmental deterioration in these places. The actions that should be taken into account in a preventive way, to avoid negative impacts, are a basic aspect. There were determined the main negative aspects for constructions and their location. It was suggested a program for the handling of impacts during the useful time of facilities, which considers preventive, corrective and mitigating measures.

There are considered the constructions carried out for tourism, and there are suggested recommendations for the stages of project and construction. 100% -54 files- of the environmental licenses emitted have been checked, and it was determined that those of highest negative impact are the designs of projects and technological aspects. It was established the Regulation 8006 of the Ministry of Construction (MICONS). On the basis of these results, this work was used by the Organs of the People Power of Yaguajay municipality for the Strategy of Nature Tourism, and by the Agency of the Environment (AMA) through the Center of Inspection and Environmental Control.

It is exposed in this work the possible loss of attraction for tourists when the environmental conditions are missing, and there are determined the affectations on the soil, vegetation, water, landscape, atmosphere and sociocultural aspects.

Once we deepen in the aspects of the evaluation of environmental impact and its relation with the sustainable development of tourist constructions, we come to the conclusion that this work:

• Contributes in the management activity to adopt relevant decisions regarding the evaluation of the impact of tourist constructions in relation to a sustainable development,
• Favors the process of detecting and eliminating mistakes and omissions in existing and forthcoming documents, relative to the protection of environment and the sustainable development in the subject,
• Contributes to improve the methodological system and the institutional and legal structures of the concepts and tasks on environmental activity.
• Allows achieving a bigger effectiveness to carry out tourist constructions, considering the environmental impacts inside previous analysis and decision making, analysis of alternatives, selection of models and designs.

The application of this work will contribute to the cost analysis with environmental optics to:

• Adopt preventive instead of retroactive measures regarding environment,
• Save materials, labor force, energy and time focused in advance,
• Estimate the life cycle of tourist constructions in relation to the impact that they cause to local environment during their useful life.
