This work harmonize, using relatively simple and reliable methods, the study of the environmental impact produced by a number of chemical which are frequently used on coffee crops under mountain conditionspesticides, through the use of biological indicators. This is not very common in Cuba, where toxicological studies are most of the time missing in this kinds of analysis.
The ecological filters for the degradation and contention of pesticides are for the first time used in Cuba, which allows minimizing their damages. A rational management of chemical pesticides is proposed to be used on mountain coffee, which has not only minimized ecosystem damages but also caused apositive effect on economy during the last three years of inclusion with a value of 372.2 cuban pesos/ ha.
The results brought about a doctorate thesis and several publications and presentations in events.
