Summary:

It is about a magnificient work addressing in a coherent and well sequenced manner all the stages which must be follow by a technological process using microorganisms.

This work covers from the isolation, characterization and improvement of strains up to the technological process for sugarcane bagasse degradation with animal feeding aims, using valid methods and

The result offers a novel contribution such as the information given for the first time in Cuba on the Pennicillus implicatum species and the obtention through mutageneses by Trichoderma viride UV strains with a hyperproduction of glucanase, among others, bringing about several degree thesis, one of them for Dr. in Veterinarian Sciences and another for Master´s degree. It is also presented a final project report of the Ministry of Sugar Industry (MINAZ). It was obtained a patent patent vindicating Trichoderma mutant and the fermentative procedure using this strain. The bagasse fiber obtained after the solid fermentation with Trichoderma mutant is characterized.

It reffers to several presentations in events and 8 published works and two accepted ones, all by Revista Cubana de Ciencia Agrícola (Cuban Journal of Agricultural Sciences)

This work includes a total of 18 scientific achievements and new contributions to the knowledge about fermentation of solid state fiber materials, which constitutes the basis for animal food production out of these materials through biotechnological methods.
