

It was possible to select and insert, in a short period of time, Cayena Lisa Serrana culture and 12 promissory genotypes obtained out of radiations, somaclonal variations and hybridations with different existing germoplasms cultivars. Methodologies for seedlings obtention were developed, what ensure saving time in the somaclones and varieties obtention and selection process. It was possible to elaborate three methodologies to obtained haploid plants by means of in vitro anteras, isolated ovules or in situ protogenesis, induced through pollination with irradiated pollen , having a high integration level and a complete compatibilization of classic improvement and biotechnological techniques.
It has 46 articles , 24 of them national and 22 international, several of them displayed in well known journals. A Doctorate thesis was made as well as two Master´s. The authors have presented 28 works in various national and international events. It count on supports from Scientific Institutions and Production Entitites.
