It is about a scientific piece formed by two books and which main topic is related to the use of chemical pesticides; they are entitled: "Plaguicidas, Residuos, Efectos y Presencia en el medio" ( Pesticides, Residuals, Effects and Presence in the Medium) y "Métodos de análisis de Residuos de plaguicidas" (Pesticides Residual Analysis Methods”.  

The first one deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of pesticides analysis; the determination of their environmental behavior, toxicological and ecotoxicological aspecst, as well as the generated environmental pollution out of the agricultural use of these compounds.

The second piece is an updated compendium with the main analytic methods to determine pesticides residuals in any substratum , that is why it is of a great usefulness in diagnose.

Both pieces included a huge part of the teorethical and experimental heritage of their authors, the two of them with a high national and international prestige, which is the reason why the proposed work is also supported by numerous national and international scientific publications. Despite the international existence of literature on the profile, most of works have been presented in other languages, thus, the proposed works fill the gap existing in Spanish language, and also have the positive aspects of being based on the authors´experience, who developed the research, analysis, methodologies, etc. under humid tropical conditions during more than 20 years,which is an aspect giving special interest and value to our country and the ones having similar climate conditions.

The study and consultation over these materials is very important in avhieving the right use of psticides in agricultural practices, with the minimum effects on man and environment. Corresponding supports from the centers using analytic methods along the country are presented, as well as the most significant results. Supports from nationaly and internationaly recognized prestigious personalities in the field of Toxicology are also presented. All this denotes the works dissemination, resulting a national theoretical and practica tool. The annexes display the main publications supporting the two books, as well as the Technical Standards of the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI) written by the authors.
