The result from this research has two parts: one is made by a socio-historical and cultural study of conditions in which this magazine is produced, with a detailed reflection about society, history and author; and from that interrelation, it is formed the circumstance in which Marti creates this work. The other one is about reading, interpretating and assessing seven representative texts in the magazine.
It is ratified, in this way, that The Golden Age constitutes a synthetic and highly valuable example of José Martí's ideological and stylistic capacities, stressed by the fact of writing for men from the future. It is one of the most representative and exemplary texts of all Latin American modernism, which validity is increased with the new century. The reached results, starting from a rigorous and deep study of Marti's work, are, in particular, novel to our culture; and contribute, in general, to the battle of ideas that is developed in the country. It has received references from several prestigious national and international figures, among which Cintio Vitier stands out.
