As a result of the research carried out during 20 years by a group of authors, two technologies for sugar agroindustry biomass use as a source of energy are presented. Therefore 15 types of fuel were characterized, 6 of them biomasic and present in Cuba. More than 100 models, correlations and nomograms which allow to estimate or make thermotechnical calculations to the Cuban biomasses, as well as the calculation of physical-chemical properties and of basic engineering were developed. An extensive and correct use of statistics increase the scientific precision of the works.

The work, presented as a book published on the 2000, introduces other novel elements such as a combustion system of fine bagasse in rotary burners, a plan for drying and preparation of RAC, an aerodynamic system for the stabilization of the flame of solid and liquid fuels, as well as the study of adimensional coefficients to determine NOx emissions.

The above mentioned works have allowed the solution of several problems presented in industry and in the modernization of Cuban power plants and they have also been applied with great efficiency at nickel plants (industries consuming more than 90% of the country fuels). These works are supported by 7 patent certificates and 13 written guarantees accrediting the introduction of their results, the guarantees given by the Technical Deputy Ministerof the Ministry of Basic Industry (MINBAS), of the Electrical Union, of the Energy Experts Group and of the Center of Studies for Energy and Environment. The scientific work in which these results are presented has been used as main and consulting bibliography by people preparing their thesis to graduate as masters, doctors, etc in the Ministry of Basic Industry (MINBAS) and in the Ministry of Higher Education (MES), and this has been guaranteed by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education
