

This work is the result of more than 20 years of research by the author and his collaborators in the field of basic and applied researches on automatization of processes with time delay, regardless their physical nature. The results are original and a contribution to the theorietical and practical knowledge (with economic impact) in the field of automatization of complex processes characterized by the significantly negative effect of the time delay on their control systems. The field of research is very outstanding and updated.
The results obtained are a scientific novelty and at different moments of the research developtment allowed the main author to receive the scientific degree of doctor of technical sciences and later the degree of doctor of sciences. A group of original methods of analysis, sinthesis and design as well as groups of mathematical models, algoritism, programs, equipment and systems to solve the problem of the automatization of processes with time delay have been developed. It also includes the successful introduction of the results of this research into practice by means of 24 recommendations and acts, issued by institutions such as: the Center of Construction Studies and Tropical Architecture of José Martí international airport (Terminal 3), the Spanish Engineering of Processes and Control S.A., the Central Institute of Digital Research (ICID) and the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR).
This research have achieved good economic results such as the automatization of irrigation systems. The novelty and scientific impact of this work are reflected in a wide and diverse scientific production including the obtention of 20 invention patents (17 abroad and 3 in Cuba), the publication of 17 articles and the acceptance of other two by outstanding international reviews, as well as other 10 articles published by national reviews. Also included the presentation of two memories in world congresses, 34 papers in different international conferences and 11 in national events. The main author has published a total of 12 books, monographs and booklets in relation with this research. Due to the results of his work, the author has been awarded with different prizes and acknowledgements outstanding among them three Special Distinctions by the Minister of Higher Education (MES).
