Summary:

This work is the result of more than 10 years laboring in the field of genetic therapy and consists on the design, construction and assessment in animals of a proper plasmidic vector system, genetically defined and with potentials to be developed in humans due to its safety.It contains novel contributions, the evidence of the expression in mice muscles by intramuscular injection of encoding DNA for reporting genes and the specific antibodies response induction against the antigen through this via of immunization , the method of purification of plasmidic DNA and its application in a mice immunization scheme.

It constitutes the first contribution in the world in the use of human erythropoietin sign peptide to the expression of heterologous proteins.

These vectors are used in researches by several researching groups from trhee Cuban institutions linked to compasion assays with vascular endothelium growth factor and the development of vaccinal candidate against Hepatitis C virus.

These results constitute the basis for the development of genetic transfference in humang by means of plasmidic DNA in our country.

Results are backed up by 4 articles published in international journals of great impact: Biomedical and Biophisical Research Communications and Technical Notes Minerva Bistec; its presentation in 5 national and international scientific events. It has become a source of knowledge for the presentation of 4 diploma thesis and 1 Doctorate in Biological Sciences and possess several acknowledgments, 5 scientific achievements in CIGB, Science and Technology Forum and Forjadores del Futuro(Future Forgers) Exhibition.
