Summary:

The relaxer ferroelectric materials have great values of dielectric constant, ideal to produce ceramic condensers of high capacity, with the additional property of having a better stability of the capacity with temperature in comparison with the classic PZT. This property is indispensable in current electronic designs, mainly in communications.

These materials have been obtained through the sintering method in which high temperatures are necessary, which makes difficult its introduction in different integrated circuit technologies.

Two generation lines of new relaxer ferroelectric materials are exposed: The first line based on complex perovskites and the second line based on the systems SrBa Nb (SBN) and SrBa Ti (SBT), all of them internationally novel, which were analyzed for the first time with dopings such as lanthanum, titanium, strontium and iron. Studying its characterization allowed carrying out contributions in the determination of the electrostrictive coefficient, in the interpretation of aging and induced piezoelectricity, as well as in the interpretation of the transitions of diffuse phases and their relaxing character.

Obtaining new materials with low temperatures constitutes a challenge, and that is why this work is considered novel.

These results are endorsed by 16 publications in international magazines, two doctoral and 7 master's degree theses, as well as the participation in combined activities in international research nets.
