Scientific impact : There are gathered the results of more than nine years of work in the subject of reasoning based on cases, RBC. The work embraces from theoretical contributions in models and algorithms, to the development of systems to solve practical problems. Three new models were obtained: The first one is a hybrid model that integrates RBC with artificial neuronal nets, to which elements of blurred groups’ theory have been included. This model was implemented in the systems SISI and SISIFUSSY. The second one is a new reasoning model based on cases for decision making problems in presence of uncertainty, implemented in the URS system. The third one is a reasoning model based on cases using blurred groups to represent the features of the problem, implemented in the FRUS system. The scientific production includes 26 scientific articles, 11 of them published in indexed international magazines, and 6 in magazines indexed in the Science Citation Index; 13 memoirs of events to complete text, 5 of them in high-level international events that took place abroad and 8 international events in Cuba; 2 final reports of Projects of Technical Scientific National Programs, approved by the respective national groups of experts; 4 monographs, 3 of them published abroad; 30 works presented in events, most of them of international character and 7 of them presented abroad; and three national software registrations. There were defended in these researches 3 Doctorate and 4 Master's degree theses. Among the received prizes, the most outstanding are the National Outstanding Prize in the XI Forum of Science and Technique and the National Mention in the XII Forum.

Economic impact : The introduction of ISIS system begins in Colombia, with three packages already sold to an unitary price of 650 USD. The application called Shaftwizard that helps elaborating machining technologies for axis type pieces is introduced in the companies INPUD, Combinado Textil, Minerva, and Aguilar Noriega, of Santa Clara.

Social impact : It has been determined the lethality of a molecule with a system that has resulted from this work, in the Center of Chemical Radioactives of Santa Clara. The SISI system has been applied in the diagnosis of heart attack and epilepsy, in the Center of Cybernetics Applied to Medicine (CECAM), to diagnose immunodeficiencies in the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Matanzas, and prognosticate cardiovascular malformations in newborn babies, in Mariana Grajales maternity hospital of Villa Clara.
